hanging up during start-up
Problem Description: Just recently I've had a problem during start up that I don't believe is related to any updates or new applications. Initially the first few screens run normal - then I get a blue screen with a small Windows icon in the middle. Next to the icon are the words: "Windows is starting up..." I can walk away and come back 5 or 10 mins later and it still has the same message. I've tried turning the PC off and on - sometimes on the 2nd or 4th try, it starts right up.Operating System: Windows XP Hello Robert, Thank you for contacting Microsoft Customer Service.
