Hello, I accidently made the guest account my administrator and it wont let me change it back to the original. I cannot make another account the administrator or change the name, nothing. What can I do to change it back.

As far as I remember, I just went into users and made the guest the administrator.

Log onto the Windows Vista with an account that is member of administrators group. 2. Click Start, type lusrmgr.msc in the Start Search box and press Enter. 3. Click the Users node, right-click Guest in the right pane, select Properties, click Member Of tab and remove Administrators under the Member of: section. Hope it helps.

The adminstrator was Lee, and the user account was guest. Lee made the guest account the administrator. Now I cannot access different files that a guest should not have access to. Like security files, etc... I want to change the administrator back to Lee, but it wont let me. There is really no error message, it just tells me that the Guest account cannot access these files, even though the administrator is the guest. If we cant figure this out, how do I go back to the factory settings. I have an Acer Aspire 5570Z. I have the system disk and the restore disk, but I cannot get them to work.

Lee was the Administrator and made the Guest the Administrator. As far as I know noone is part of the Administrators group.
