I'm sorry, but gpedit.msc won't run in XP Home Edition.Do you want to change QoS settings to get more bandwidth? That can only make a difference in very unusual circumstances: when a running program has specifically requested priority bandwidth and is actively sending data. For more information, please see the section labeled Clarification about the use of QoS in end computers that are running Windows XP in Windows XP Quality of Service (QoS) enhancements and behavior .Boulder Computer Maven Microsoft Most Valuable Professional

If gpedit.msc isn't included in Windows 7 Home, Home Premium, etc, then the taskbar preview shouldn't have been included either.

If you have XP Home, you can still manipulate all of the Group Policy items via the registry (there is a list). The Group Policy Editor just makes things prettier, but it is not necessary. Some malware seems to be aware of XP Home and will disable certain policy functionality like Task Manger, System Restore, etc. with Group Policy changes to keep you from removing the malware. You know the message: System Restore had been turned off by group policy. To turn on System Restore contact your domain Administrator.Sometimes in XP Pro GPEdit itself is disabled. If you have XP Home where there is no GPEdit, what non awkward things are you going to do to fix it? (you don't repair, System Restore, or reinstall - puh-lease - and I have no CDs).It helps to know where all these policy things are in the registry and how to fix them without using GPEdit.Do you really think suggestions that begin with the words try , might or maybe are going to be helpful?I need YOUR votes and points for helpful replies and Propose as Answers.
