we've been using rsat (as we have some vista sp 1 machines) to try to make a gp for vista machines that avoid the "Documents" feature of the desktop.ini so far it has not been positive - atseveral points although we we doing a simple documents redirect to \\server\share\usershareit resulted in a nested set of My documents or Document going down about 14 levels ie\documents\documents\documents\documents\documents\documents\to level 14 the other problem is that you would choose settings ie redirect to following location \\server\share\%USERNAME%\Documents get it to also apply to other win2000 xp systems then apply it but some settings like the abovedont seem to stick and next time you went into gp the settings would have changed to something different ie redirect to users home directory has anyone else come across this behaviour or found solutions?

not sure whether it was doing a restart & reboot of management machine or closing down gp management console then reopening it but today the settings we wanted stuck without a hitch
