Whether you can get the data back depends on whether the (unnamed) virus destroyed/changed the data. If the virus changed the data irrevocably, you can get the files back but they will still be damaged. The best solution in situations like this is to restore the data to a clean machine from your backups. If you didn't make backups and you want to try and retrieve the data, here are some links to data recovery software. R-Studio is very good and has a trial version so you can see if the data you want is retrievable and good. Naturally, I'm assuming that your computer is completely virus/malware-free at this point.
