You can register genuine copy of Windows 7 online from Microsoft’s website. But it is essential for you to make sure that the copy of Windows 7, which you have purchased is authentic or not. There are three methods to check the authenticity of Windows 7. Method 1- Activate Windows Dialog Just go to “start”, then write “activate windows” in the search box. If you’re the copy which you have purchased is activated and genuine, you will get a message “Activation was successful” and the Microsoft Genuine software logo seems to be appearing on the right hand side. Method 2- Validate Online You can use validation tool available on the Microsoft website to determine that you have a genuine copy of Windows 7 or not. Method 3- Control Panel The third and the last way to check for Genuine Windows is verify through Control Panel. Click on “Start”, then “Control Panel”, then choose “System and Security” and finally click on “System”. Then scroll down the page and you will come to see a section called Windows activation, which indicates “Windows is activated” and gives you the Product ID with the genuine Microsoft software logo.Windows 7

· Hi, I would like to explain that an update named Windows Activation Technologies (WAT) is released for Windows 7 system. Customer can download this update from Windows Update or Microsoft Download Center. After installing the update, the validation process will be started and it will check for over 70 known activation exploits. If any activation exploits was detected, the non-genuine notification will be displayed. The notification indicating that a copy of Windows is not genuine may occur if any of the following conditions are true: 1. A non-genuine Product Key was used to install the system and the system was activated by using activation exploit. 2. The local settings are incorrect. 3. Some third-party security software blocks access to the Windows Update site. Please be assured that the purpose of WAT is to protect the rights of genuine copy users. I will do my best to assist you in resolving this issue. Thank you for your understanding. Before moving on, please let me know how the system was activated?
