frequent domain lockouts. bad password account lockout. I have tried altools alockout and these did not work for windows 7 Have also tried about 50 other things
I am trouble shooting a client that has windows 7 and is getting locked out frequently. Have used altools, alockout, but this did not work for this operating system. Is Microsoft creating this tool for windows 7 or something similar. I have tried everything else I have seen from microsoft to troubleshoot this issue with no luck, and think this tool would fix the problem.

Is the user just bad at typing their password, or do they have something like a scheduled task locking them out? Look in the security logs on the domain controllers for the most frequent system that is locking them out, and then look on that system for things like scheduled tasks or services running as the user with an incorrect username/password. The events will be a success audit in the security log with event ID 644. Note that you will need to have success auditing of account management in the default domain controllers GPO audit policy. -- Mike Burr MS Technologies - Development - *nix

It's not bad at typing their password. I experienced this myself, able to login, logout, and it is lockout. I have to unlock the account for me to use it, and lock-out again after few minutes. I tried another test account, changed the password, logoff, login back, viola same issue - lockout. It seems the Windows 7 is not correctly synchronizing the new password to the Active Directory. I need help here.
