Hi, Thanks for posting in Microsoft TechNet Forum. The best solution is to remember your password, you can try your usual used passwordsor try to associate past things helping remember password. If you still can't remember your password, I would like to propose the following suggestions. 1. Is there another administrator account created on your computer? If so, you can log on with another administrator account and copy important files out from that password lost profile, please note that you need to take ownership of this files first. 2. Back up your data and perform a reinstallation. How to back up your data ======================== Method 1. Boot with Windows PE to copy files to the external disk. If you don't own a Windows PE boot disc, you can download it from the following website. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=c7d4bc6d-15f3-4284-9123-679830d629f2&DisplayLang=en Method 2. Unplug the disk out of laptop, and connect it to another computer. Then copy files out of this disk to the external one. Hope this helps. Thanks.

you can use theWindows Password Recovery Tool 2.0 to recover your password(s). This tutorial will guide you through doing just that. Start by downloading the Windows Password Recovery Tool 2.0 . This is the longest part of the entire process, as its about 26MB. Burn the .iso file to CD. If you need help creating a boot CD from the .iso file, see this tutorial. After youve burned the .iso, set your computer to boot from your CD/DVD drive (make sure the CD is in the drive). Youll be presented with Windows Password Recovery Tool 2.0 menu. Leave the default selected and hit enter on your keyboard (or just wait 5 seconds for it to automatically boot). You can get it from: http://www.windowspasswordsrecovery.com

Hey, bren3 Kindly try this Windows Password Recovery Basic... A CD/DVD, or a bootable Windows PE USB is required (instructions included). There are many Windows password reset tools, but I haven't personally tested them. Windows Password Recovery Basic is a widely spread edition though... Once reboot the computer with CD/DVD/USB, remove the lost or forgotten password and then log in to your computer without any password. Here is its official website, Hope it helps http://www.windowspasswordrecovery.net/ Best regards, maggiena
