file permissions
I am using a laptop with Windows 7 and have created accounts for my kids so they can use it as well. I am trying to make a folder not accessible to them (not even readable), but it in turn takes the permission away from me as well....even
though I am the administrator. I have tried various ways around this and have a decent amount experience troubleshooting computer issues. At this point, I'm wondering if it is even possible. We currently have a HomeGroup setup.
Please help.

Hi,
Right click on your folder goto >>Properties >> security
select the standard user (your kids account) ... click on edit the check all Deny options for that folder...
this may do it .... if your kid click on that folder its asks for the admin password....
