We currently have Lync configured for internal use (.local sip domain, no edge server). Policy for every user is PC-to-PC

One of the users received a call from external #. Doesn't show the contact just phone # - 36XXXXXX78

I can't figure out how would that happen.

Please check Outlook contacts, one of the contacts which in Outlook contact list might be renamed by the user.
