exporting and importing windows VPN connections
Hi, We spend a lot of time talking users through setting up the VPN over the phone. I'm looking for some way to export the settings to some sort of reg or script file and import them on the client computers. Clients are using windows 7 enterprise. I've tried using this guide http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/confirmation.aspx?FamilyID=ce82bbd3-948b-476b-ab2e-1a1696349905&displaylang=en However we are using a preshared key and NOT certficates for authentication. There does not seems to be an entry in the xml file for UsePreSharedKey or entering my preshared key. When I run my powershell script it works and creates the vpn connection. However I must manually right click on it and go to properties, go to the security tab, click advanced settings. Change from "Use certificate for authentication" to "Use preshared key for authentication" and then type the key. Now the VPN will connect. Otherwise I get an error about no cert being found. Does anyone know how I can achieve what I want ?

I suggest you discuss in our Script Center forum and see if you can involve the pre-shared key into the script.
