I'm trying to transfer a folder full of messages (& later the address book) from our laptop to a new netbook. I've tried export from outlook as .csv & .xls.--to my flashdrive When I try to "import messages from Outllook" into the outlook express, I get an error message: "Messages cannot be imported from the MAPI client. Outlook has to be installed / functioning on the same PC as outlook express in order to either import or export

Windows XP home on both computers. email client on both is verizon (POP3).

I now have Outlook on the netbook--60 day trial version--but import/export is grayed out! Is that Microsoft being cheap?
