explorer.exe : server execution failed
Hi all !I've upgraded this night from Vista to W7 Pro. My computer is faster than ever but... I can't browse my computer : error "explorer.exe : server execution failed"..... :-(I tried several tricks to launch it (by the run command, the Win+E, command prompt + explorer.exe, ...) Also, Windows Update fail to start with the same error... Any idea ?

Hi, This issue may occur if the security setting is incorrect. You can try the following steps: Add account to Network group ====================== 1. Click Start button, type "cmd" in the Start Search box. 2. On the program results list, right click the "cmd.exe" and choose "run as administrator. 3. In the command window, type the following command and press Enter: net localgroup "Administrators" "NT Authority\Local Service" /add If it does not work, you can create a new account: Create a new user account ==================== 1. Click the Start Button, type User Accounts in the start search pane and press Enter. 2. Click Manage use accounts. 3. Click Create a new account, and type the name. 4. Choose account type as Computer administrator. 5. Click Create Account. 6. Log off and log on with the new account.Vivian Xing - MSFT

After i do that, what happenss to my original account? In my home pc i have the greatest (my humble and noobie opinion) besides 98 SE, xp pro. In it i have full access to the computer and what it has, or does. So being i have one more question please: What do i have to do to become the true ADMINISTRATOR, of this notebook with the win7 home premium, (my humble and noobie opinion again) disguised vista, and truely garbage program? This is my 5th windows purchase of which only 2 worked immediatly soon after installation, and i'm strongly considering going to your competitors (not that you personnaly care). I'd apprecciate any and all assistance.Awaiting your reply, respectfully,Hugo
