umm yea not a computer wiz but everytime i log in my disk is locked at 99% and i cant do anything without my comp freezing

here is another tips, if you cant do it in normal windows, try at safe mode

go to system properties, at advance tab, click setting at performance option, at performance option find virtual memory option and clicked changes
highlight your C drive and set the custom size for initial size 16384 MB and Max 32768 (you can set min as your RAM size and Max as twice your RAM size)

reboot the machine and check
