Hi Joson Did you find out what could cause this ? I am getting the same error in my Application event log. I am unable to add a dialup connection. When I try to open the Phone and Modem control panel, is get the following warning message : Phone And Modem control panel can not be opened. You may have a problem starting telephony service. I looked at services and this service is running except one of it dependant services called Remote Access Auto Connection Manager. (RasAuto). I cannot start this service. Get the following warning message: Windows could not start the Remote Access Auto Connection Manager services on Local Computer. Error 0x80000048: 0x80000048 I made screen shots of both error messages and saved the app and sys event logs. Im running Vista x64 Business. Please advise Fuad

I am having the same problem with dial-up from another program through the CXT modem. has there been a fixed developed??
