ethernet problems
i have a hp pavillion 320n , we have replaced the moden 3 times and still cannot access internet . i have a nvidia ethernet controller and it does not seem to be able to be read by the moden we replaced it with another ethernet card and the same thing happened. had my computer man check and he said there was nothing wrong my my old ethernet card. also have installed it on my router for my laptop and it works off of it ,,but i don't won't to run it wireless, can anyone hep solve problem with desktop not acessing through the ethernet controller. thanks buthh552

Get a new "computer man" when you say you have a new modem, are you talking about a DSL modem? if you are connecting your network card plug (ethernet) into your router's LAN interface, does that work with the configuration in step 3, click start, run and type cmd and click ok. then type ipconfig. paste the results of that command here.
