if you are using an harddrive past two tb you will need the driver from its maker and possibly one for your mother board. i had problems with my seagate baracuda 3tb where i couldnot use the unallocated space at the end of the c drive, i needed a driver from gigabyte to unlock this eventhough i had seagates driver.
