hey everyone. im from the philippines and i'm using my smart broadband to access the internet using my laptop, windows 7 all of a sudden, when i used my broadband, the message "a connection to the remote computer could not be established. you may need to change the network settings for this connection" appeared and i dont know how that happened. everything seems to be normal with my broadband: ip address, enough load etc, but it doesnt work. i also looked around the net and found the rarerepair but it doesnt work still. cn someone help me, im going nuts! but please, make the answers simple :))) thanks!

What is the result when you issue command ipconfig /all from command prompt? Regards Milos

Hi, Did the issue occur recently? If so, what you change or install recenly? Please check if any Miniport adapter exists. 1. Click Start -> Control Panel -> All Control Panel Items -> Device Manager 2. Click View -> Show hidden devices 3. Expand Network adapters, if you find any miniport adapter in the list, disable it and reboot for a test. Meanwhile, you can uninstall the current network adapter driver from Device Manager, then download and install the latest one from manufacturer's website. Niki Han TechNet Community Support
