error 13 permission denied encrypted file
Hello everyone I'm new to this forum and I'm hoping someone can help me out here. I had a gateway laptop a few years back and stored in that hard drive i had a few encrypted files. Not too long the computer crashed and wouldn't boot. I'm pretty sure it was a virus. At first i could boot into safe mode and pull some of my files that way, but i couldn't access my normal account because it was set to private, so in order to get to my documents i had to pull the hard drive out and buy an enclosure. I was able to copy almost everything, except of course an encrypted file i'm dying to save. I've tried at least a dozen zip password recovery softwares, but they all say unable to open file or something similar. I recently tried putting the hard drive back into the old gateway, but now it wont even boot in safe mode it says something about not being able to setup in safe mode and then it restarts. It think after using it as an external hard drive for a few months messed something up or I accidently deleted something. AHH i'm going crazy someone please help me. I would love to be able to do this myself so pls don't ask me to take it to a repair shop. i know that's an option, but one i'm not too eager to do. 1 person needs an answerI do too
