error 0x0000052e - failure to install printer
Both computers on home network run Windows 7. No problem with one networked printer, but I receive above error message when I tried to connect to the second printer. All setting for sharing are the same for both printers.

Error 0x0000052e indicates that your network configuration may isn't correctly. To troubleshoot this kind of issue, I would like to propose the following suggestions:1. Make sure that both systems configure printer sharing correctly and belong to the same network group. Please refer to the following website to put computers in the same workgroup.http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Networking-home-computers-running-different-versions-of-Windows2. Check network connectivity status, can you access files on the other computer? You can perform a ping command to access the other computer and see if it works. Meanwhile, please also try to temporarily disable Windows Firewall and anti-virus security software then connect the printer again.Generally, we will visit the following website on installing printer on a home network in Windows 7. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Install-a-printer-on-a-home-networkAlso see http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-7/share-files-and-printers-in-windows-7-with-homegroup/MCSE, MCSA, MCDST [If this post helps to resolve your issue, please click the "Mark as Answer" or "Helpful" button at the top of this message. First, please let us know how do you set up the second printer, Does it connect to the network dirctly too? I agree the error 0x0000052e indicates that your network configuration may isn't correctly. As you have installed the printer, we can redirect the printer port form LPT1 to TCP port to use the installed driver. To do so, right click your printer in Devices and Printers, choose Printer properties, change to the Ports tab, then select “Create a new port” to add a new TCP port. Choose “Local Port” as the type of the port. Then In the box "Enter a port name", type \\printer server\printer name. I have included a link for you convenience, although the KB is for WinXP, the steps are similar in Windows 7. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/314073 I hope this can help you.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------John
