e-mail format
I have just sent an e-mail using a recently downloaded decorative edging. It looked ok when I had finished it but looking at the sent copy I find that the message is overlapping the left hand edging pattern - how can I prevent this happening in the future?1 person needs an answerI do too

Don't use decorative edging? Sorry, couldn't resist. :-)What e-mail client did you use? (Outlook? Outlook Express? Windows Live Mail? Thunderbird? Something else?)How did you apply this edging? One thing you need to understand about e-mail - even if you get it to line up perfectly on YOUR system, you can't guarantee what kind of e-mail client the other person is using. They could be using a client that won't render it properly on THEIR end...so it still might not look right. That's why I rarely use stationery like that - it doesn't really add much to the message, can be a headache to get right and despite your best efforts may not look the way you intended to the recipient. -B- http://www.officeforlawyers.com | http://www.onenote-tips.com Author: The Lawyer's Guide to Microsoft Outlook

Thank you for replying. It is Windows Live Mail that I use. It would be useful to know if I can set a margin.I was trying to cheer someone up, who is very ill, rather than send a business e-mail, but you make an interesting point that she may not have been able to receive it as I intended, in any case.

You might consider creating your message of cheer in another format - for example create it in Word and print it to a PDF file. Then send her the PDF file. That way you CAN guarantee the fidelity of the received document. It's an extra step or two, granted, and requires sending an attachment rather than the message itself., but it may actually be easier and more reliable. -B- http://www.officeforlawyers.com | http://www.onenote-tips.com Author: The Lawyer's Guide to Microsoft Outlook

Yes, thank you. I think that is the way I shall have to go. It might be 2nd best but better than useless!
