dwmapi.dll error
I've been running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit on a Acer Aspire 5750 laptop for weeks with no problem. Suddenly I start getting this pop-up error:
C:\Windows\System32\winrnr.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support.
Before the error, I hadn't installed any new programs in nine days. I checked the registry and nothing had been changed. I just booted up one day like normal and got the error message.
This error message pops up when i start a program.
If for example I start imgburn, it keeps popping up each time the program writes a new number, and it will take a lot of clicks to finish the burn. It is not just imgburn, but that is an example.
I have disable all sevices and startup programs in msconfig.
I have tried starting in safemode.
I have tried making a new account with admin rights.
I have also tried to restoring using windows restore, but i can only see 2 restore points and they are from today.
I really need help here. Any tips?
I do have an OEM version. And every time i try to burn out the cd's with the operating system, it fails.
So I do not have a disk that I can reinstall from.
Thanks in advance

Contact your manufacturer Technical Support to obtain a recovery DVD. Once done, try performing a repair install of your OS using it.

You cannot do a repair install with a Recovery disk only a clean install.

True.
Any tips on actually fixing this, without reinstalling?
Reinstall I can do from the setup, but hope to avoid that.
