dump file analysis regarding BSOD on windows7
Dear all, my computer keeps BSODing occasionally (did so on vista and when I installed windows7 it continues to do so) and I don't know why. I read that the minidump files will help identify the problem but I have no idea how to interpret, let alone open these. Any help would be much appreciated! Frank Here's the link / zip file containing all of the files from my minidump folder, hope you can help me - this drives me insane! http://rcpt.yousendit.com/1117404447/6509ca0c063c2de06d8c538f99cf382c thanks for your help

Hello, I am unable to determine the exact cause of your problem. Please proceed like that: Download and run memtest86+ to check that all is okay with your RAM. If a fault was detected then replace the faulty RAM update all possible drivers / firmwares / BIOS / Security softwares If the problem persist, it will be better to backup your files and re-install your Windows as I saw a dump file that reports problems with win32k.sys driver. A hardware problem is also possible so I would like that you contact your manufacturer Technical Support. This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights. Bye. Luigi Bruno Hello Luigi, such utility does not provide enough information by analyzing dump files. Most causes of crashes can not be retrieved using it. The best utility is Windbg Microsoft one. I agree with what you've said about WinDbg, but the utility I've suggested could be useful to make an initial diagnosis for a non-technical user. Bye.Luigi Bruno

Luigi Bruno Agree with you but I tried such utilities a year again and most of causes were not discovered b it :) For non-technical user, I would suggest using Windbg and reading this Microsoft article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315263 This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.
