duel boot windows 8.1 64 bit and 32 bit

I just purchased a second license and already have an os 8.1 loaded that came loaded. I added a second 1 TB HD  and have formatted it into two partitions. The partition I want to install the 32-bit onto has a formatted 399 GB. I have done this before duel booting xp. When I try to load the 32 bit disk, I get an error message telling me "Use other disk that says 64-bit. When you insert it, windows will start up automatically."

I am running a Dell Desktop Inspiron 3847.

Thank you,

Eric Kipker

You cannot install different architecture on the same drive.  You need at least 2 drives.  If you want to install a different architecture you need to boot from it>format the drive and install
