dual screen problem.
I have a ATI Radeon 3400 series running on windows 7 and i have a DGM monitor and a venturer tv as a secondary monitor. I was running fine on xp when i installed windows 7 it was a bit slow and tempremental with the second screen but then settled down. I tried to turn the resolution up from 1152 x 864 to 1280 x 768 on the DGM monitor and it said out of range and the secondary screen went blue and unusable. So i tried booting in to safe mode and turning res down, same result on boot up in normal mode. The only thing that works is unplugging the second screen and, every time i plug it back in and try to detect it i get the same thing where the main screen says ou tof range and the secondary goes blue. i even tried re installing the drivers but to no avail. in fact on control panel i dont have a picture for graphics card i just have in unspecified, video controller and audio device.

Have you tried visiting the ATI web site and downloading the latest drivers for your particular video card? You can often get more functionality / configurability out of the system using the full driver package from the manufacturer vs. the drivers that come with Windows. -Noel

I suspect that this issue is caused by the monitor. How does it work if you connect with two simple LCD monitor? If it works properly, you may need to contact the manufacturer of the DMG monitor for more assistance.Arthur Xie - MSFT
