drop down menu
I am having problems with my drop down menu, not only on the internet but in my roxio creator 10 and anti virus malwarebytes or avast antivrus programs. I have window 7. Tried running from my control panel find and fix in my troubleshooting. still can't fix or find the problem. I'm not real computer literate so if any one can help please help in easy terms.

It would help considerably if you could be more descriptive about your problem. As stated it is very vague and virtually impossible to come up with any suggestions not really knowing exactly the problem is. Hi Rick Dee, When I try to go into my drop down menu. I can't click on a sight, It flickers. Won't let me click on it. when I go into a program it won't let me name my file to save. I'm trying to explain to the best of my knowledge. which isn't much. another example is when I click on malwarebytes to scan, It asks what language I want It won't let me click on English. the menu keeps flickering. I can't even change my screen saver. example I click on bubbles and the menu flicks back to "none". Hopefully this will help.

One issue that is not helping is running multiple anti-malware\anti-virus programs simultaneously. Click Start=>type Defender=>select Windows defender from the results Select Tools=>Options and select real time protection from the list and uncheck it. Select Save and close. Now. perform the same settings change for Malwarebytes (if Pro version) and set that to manual for on-demand scanning also. If it's the free version, the real-time protection is already off. That will leave the Avast running in real-time mode. Now, reboot and test the context menu behavior.

Hi, You can test the issue in Safe Mode. If the issue doesn't occur in Safe Mode, please perform clean boot. Also try to use ShellExView check third party extension. 1. Download ShellExView v1.41 from the following link http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.zip Please Note: The third-party product discussed here is manufactured by a company that is independent of Microsoft. We make no warranty, implied or otherwise, regarding this product's performance or reliability. 2. Right-click the "shexview.zip" file, select "Extract All", the Extraction Wizard will prompt. 3. Click Next, input "C:\ShellExView" (without the quotation marks) in the "Files will be extracted to this directory" textbox. 4. Click Next and click Finnish. 5. Open the "C:\ShellExView" folder and double-click the "shexview.exe" file. It will scan the registry for all the shell extensions. 6. Select all the non-Microsoft extensions in pink by press "Ctrl" in the keyboard. 7. Click the "Disable Selected Items" on the toolbar and click Yes. 8. Restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved. Best Regards, Niki Please remember to click "Mark as Answer" on the post that helps you, and to click "Unmark as Answer" if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
