The client machine must be able to find the DC using DNS.Can you ping the DC by its name or IP address? If notcheck the IP address and netmask on both machines. What do you see if you do an nslookup of your domain name from a command prompt?Bill

What is the full name of your domain? On the client machine, open a command prompt and enter "nslookup mydomain.com" putting your full domain name instead of mydomain.com . If this command does not return the IP address of your domain controller, your client cannot see the DC and you will not be able to join the domain.Bill
