domain name too long for remote web workplace
When loggin into a Windows 7 Pro PC through SBS03 remote web workplace I am having the following issues: Cached last username will not sign on - I MUST choose "other user" and type in fulldomainname.local\user I have set group policy to use default mydomainname.local - and that doesn't work either - it seems to be dropping the .local portion of my domain name. My ONLY option to get successfully signed on is to choose other user and type in the full domain name - wondering if 20 characters+.local is too long

Hi, Based on my research, this kind of login way is set default by Remote Web Workplace. Generally, We have three methods to login. username@domainname + password truncated domain name\username + password full domain name\username + password In addition, please refer to the following knowledge to set the default logon domain on server. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc778552(WS.10).aspx Meanwhile, I suggest saving user credential by using following method on the clients: a. Run control userpasswords2 b. Under Advanced tab, click Manage Passwords c. Please add following entry: Log on to: Provide a server name or a domain name. You can user wildcards in the domain name. Some examples are *.yourdomain.com and Server01. Username: domain\username Password: userpassword Then check this issue again. Thanks, Simida
