This is "By-Design". The update KB974674 can only be installed on English Windows 7 Editions or Windows 7 Ultimate / Enterprise when it has the English MUI installed: Prerequisites To apply this update, your computer must be running one of the following operating system: An English version of Windows 7 or of Windows Server 2008 R2. A non-English version of Windows 7 or of Windows Server 2008 R2 that has the EN-US language pack installed. I made a workaround in my German Forums: http://www.winvistaside.de/forum/index.php?s=&showtopic=3194&view=findpost&p=23514 You can use the translator if you can't read German. Use the expand command to extract the MSU and CAB and run the pkgmgr command to install the Update. The steps in the KB article don't work Niki! I already informed Microsoft about it. You must use my workaround ."A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/
