display will not crop/letterbox resolutions where it previously did
i have a toshiba l550 laptop with a generic PnP monitor, and Windows 7 proffessional up to this point, whenever i ran a program with a non-widescreen resolution, it would letterbox, or crop the display so that the image was not distorted now, suddenly, it has begun stretching the display to match the screen with all programs where it previously would letterbox the display. the only thing that i can think of that might have caused it is that i used the zoom function (Fn + Space) for the first time today, which caused some resolution changes, i have tried changing resolutions, both inside and outside the programs, and applying various zoom settings all with no result. it is extremely irritating to see everything all out of proportion, so any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi, thank you for posting here. I suggest you performing a System Restore first: System Restore ============= 1. Click the Start Button, type "system restore" (without quotations) in the start search box and press enter. 2. Click "Choose a different point" and click next. 3. Check Show more restore points box. 4. Choose a date before this issue happening, and click Next. 5. Click Finish. If the issue persists, you’d better ask Toshiba for further help. Never mind, the crisis is averted, i simply downloaded ATI CCC (CatalystControlCentre) and changed the settings using that, it is great for fuller control over your display options
