Uninstall the current driver through control panel/programs and features, not from device manager/update driver. Reboot the machine and let Windows install whatever driver it thinks is best. Leave your display settings at default.
If the problem persists I'd again start looking toward a hardware problem. Because the problem didn't occur with Win 7 doesn't mean that a hardware problem has developed since then.
actually i have done that this before when the windows download a driver.it download a new version.And the new version isnt compatible with windows 8 and my screen completely blacks out and i have to restore my system or load the windows 8 again.its fine when i use windows 7.
i dont have dual boot but i have uninstalled and reinstalled windows 8.
