disappearing installed programs after i shutdown my pc
good morning...can somebody help me..im using windows 7.. i installed many programs from the internet, i saved it on my desktop such as spy boot and different antivirus. After installing it, I decided to shutdown my pc and after a couple of hours i have decided to on my pc AGAIN. I wondered why all my installed programs disappeared and vanished. I searched it on the start menu then no items matched...Can somebody help.. Im using SONY VAIO laptop then i bought this one last month,,Im so depressed.. Thanks....:)

Your desktop icons might be hidden. Try to right-click on the desktop and select View > Show desktop icons. Hit Windows Key + E and then the Backspace key to go to the desktop. Or alternatively, navigate to C:\Users\yourUserName\Desktop. The files must be there. Plus, just to be clear - did you only download the programs and save to desktop or did you even install it? Hi john cyril, Restart to check if the desktop re-appear. I suspect the system is affected by virus or malware, try fully scan your computer.
