In order for things to work your computer must have same IP range as your company network. If the company network is 10.11 range your computer must be in the same range 10.11.. not 192.168.. When you say "router" do you mean router at home network or default gateway at work. What i think is that your company is using NAP and your computer is not complaint with the company policy and as a result is placing you in remediation zone where you don't have full access to network. Now you need probably to update your computer with Windows Updates, enable the firewall or whatever else they might have specified as policy.

If the IP start with 169.*.*.* then your DHCP just don't answer your computer, DHCP's full?, layer2 switch that block that?, etc... Ask your IT to diagnose their DHCP with a wireshark, or just upgrade your NIC firmware at first.MCP | MCTS 70-236: Exchange Server 2007, Configuring

Once done you would need to ensure the rest of the pc under local area connection properties>TCP/IPv4 & TCP/IPv6 is set to obtain an IP & dns server address automatically (ensure the option boxes are checked) Once done, reboot the router and let the setting apply, same goes to the rest of the pcPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Temporarily disable firewall and see if the issue occurs. If it does not occur, please properly configure your firewall to make sure that DHCP ports 67 and 68 are opened for any network addresses. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
