I am having the same problem. I tried the solution: Unplug the printer, then install this Vista Driver from Dell in Vista compatibility mode following instructions from here HOW TO: Install a Hardware Device Driver using Compatibility Mode follow the prompts from the driver install. MCSE, MCSA, MCDST [If this post helps to resolve your issue, please click the "Mark as Answer" or "Helpful" button at the top of this message. After downloading and installing the Vista Driver per the directions, the printer still indicates there is a problem. When I "Troubleshoot" the printer, it says the driver is not installed. I then clicked "Apply this fix" and get the "Solution": "Compatibility issue between your multifunction printer and Windows Your multifunction printer isn't compatible with this version of Windows." So - does this mean I did something wrong in my install, or is there a different solution or am I out of luck and can't use this printer with Windows 7?

There may be a work-around, but according to the Windows compatibility site: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Details.aspx?type=Hardware&p=Dell%20924%20Photo%20All-in-One%20Printer&v=Dell&uid=222-2049&l=en-US&pf=0&pi=0&s=924&os=64-bit Dell has told Microsoft that your printer isn't compatible with Windows 7, both 32 and 64 bit versions.
