i did an internal claenout of my pc including fan but i did not remove fan i only removed this black plastic piece with cooling fins inside of it it was attatched to pc by 2 screws that went thru the motherboard to a threaded post on back of motherboard i carefuully removed this to gain access to the fan i had no power running to pc at the time i did this so i finished the cleanout and put the plastic piece as i described above back on triple checked that no data cables or any cable wasnt loose everything looked fine my problem is that now it seems like the fan never shuts off and comes on as needed i have been monitoring my harddrive temp as well as my cpu temp and they both are at or around 94 degrees and since the cleanout my temp actually went up a few degrees it was at 88 and that was with a super dirty fan my fan worked better dirty it use to slow down and speed up as needed now it just runs not at top speed i heard it run faster but its different now something happened since i cleaned out pc any ideas what could have happened would be greatly appreciated thank you syncere99
