delayed write corrupts my drives
occasionally I get a message saying delayed write failed for the letter of a drive. then the drive gets corrupt. it has done this unrecoverably with a usb flash disk and a virtual hard disk. luckily nothing serious happened to my c: drive. how can I completely disable delayed write for ALL drives?1 person got this answerI do too

there is no such setting in vmware player but since what you said that there is no way to disable delayed write forall drives answers my original question I marked it as answer. hopefully microsoft will add that functionality in the next service pack for xp... if there ever is one

just today I had that same delayed write problem and I already disabled write caching for the usb drive. I even checked and it was optimised for quick removal. what is going on here?
