create unallocated disk space
need to create unallowcated disk space on main drive for system back-up. shrink option does not appear on drop down list in disk management even though partition has no data on it. SP3 is installed.1 person needs an answerI do too

Unfortunately, the Shrink and Extend commands are not available in XP They are in Vista and Windows 7 only.
