hi guy if we copy a file from local drive download folder (C:\Users\xyz\Downloads) to a network drive share - copy dialog is displayed beechen copy time. Pc hang - we can't kill this process and we must reboot pc. Folder permission is correct, uac is on If we copy the same file from desktop or other folder it works fine. why? chrisChris

Hi, I suspect your disk maybe cause this issue. Please check your disk firstly through some disk tools. In addition, Please disable the Anti-virus software to have a try. Also, you may try to move or copy this files to the other directory to have a test. If this method also let the windows hang, it indicates the file store in the disk’s track may be broken.

Hi Juke thats quaint! explorer hang only if we copy "from" source "download" folder. If we use other source folder there is no problem. Another User and another PC has the same problem. I have found in google many problems with Windows 7 and USB destination (explorer hang, explorer freeze) - but we have no USB drive Symantec Antivir stopp - same problem newest network driver (HP Evo 8100) - same problem eventlog - no error entry chris Chris
