once I start disk defragmentation the process runs continuously, repeating again and again. this makes the machine very slow. How do I correct this?1 person needs an answerI do too

Can you please elaborate? Are you trying to use the machine while you defragment? If the drive is very badly fragmented it can take a long time to complete the defragmentation, start the defragmenter and allow it to run to completion without you using the machine while it's running. If the drive is badly fragmented and if the defrag process is interrupted by some of your programs (like your AV program) try running the defrag in Safe-Mode.John
