Hi, I need some advise about SSDP. I'm getting around 60 messages per minute on my network firewall about packets sent to 239.255.255.250 on port 1900. I know it's about SSDP, so I've decided to disable SSDP Detection Service on every client in my domain network. I need to get rid of these messages in my firewall because they make reading logs more difficult, and because I don't think we really need SSDP nor UPnP service in our office network. (I can't see any advantge about using it) The question is whether disabling SSDP Discovery Service would have any negative effect on these client machines (most of them are notebooks) regarding their use on home networks. (like not finding their home wifi routers or similar) Thanks in advance.

Thanks for replying, That's what I'm going to do. If anyone come to us with conectivity problems I'll think about re-enabling the service on his/her notebook.
