connection to network very slow with windows 7 x64
Hi I have a Windows 7 x64 installation (SP1) which is having a nightmare connecting to any network. When I initially start windows, it takes several minutes to connect to my network (ethernet). When I change network (for example VPN) it again takes several minutes before allowing any internet traffic. The same when disconnecting from VPN. Here are my network driver details NVIDA nForce 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet Cisco Systems VPN Adapter for 64-bit Windows Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks

Hi, According to the issue that you have described as below, I recommend that you may take the following steps to troubleshoot this problem: 1. Scan virus in your computer. 2. Upgrade the NIC driver to the newest version. 3. Create a new administrator account, restart Windows and login with this account. Check the problem again. 4. Run Window 7 in safe mode with network. Also you may capture the Network package via NetMon, then we can analyze the problem deeply: 1) Download NetMon3.4 from the following website and install it on the computer http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=983b941d-06cb-4658-b7f6-3088333d062f 2) Launch NetMon3.4 on the both client and the server. 3) In the Microsoft Network Monitor 3.4 window, click Create a new capture tab … 4) In the new tab, select all the Network Adapters in the Select Networks window. 5) Then, switch to Network Monitor, press F5 to start NetMon. 6) Repro the problem. 7) Go back to the NetMon window and press F7 to stop the NetMon. 8) Press Ctrl+S to save the Netmon file named test. 9) Upload the files via SkyDrive ,and post a link here.
