connect to wireless lan and ethernet lan at the same time.
hopefully comeone can help-BACKGROUND:i have vista ultimate on my oc.i have a wireless router which i can connect to perfectly from my pc - and get the internet.i have a second pc which i am using as a web server - and i am connecting it to my main pc with a crossover cable ethernet. sort of like a p2p.i am not interested in getting internet to the webserver - it is just a local testing webserver.i have assigned the server and the pc's ethernet adapters with static ip's of 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2 subnet 255.255.255.0. And the wireless connection is getting an auto ip from the router of something like 10.0.0.4 (routers address is 10.0.0.138)everything works fine - i can access the server and share folders. and access the internet with my wireless adapter.THIS IS MY PROBLEM:but every now and then my internet drops off - and the wireless reports signal ok - but no internet.to fix the problem i disable the ethernet adapter - and instantly the wireless is back online.i then enable the ethernet adapter and everything is fine again. UNTILL like 20-30 minutes later.do i have to specify where the internet is coming from or something?also...the ethernet connection always saysm "unidentified network" (even though it works.i have windows firewall off on all computers - and have no other network/firewall software on.thanks, luke
