computername on the tilescreen

I am preparing for a win81 rollout and am setting up the tilescreen to be able to export this so that we have a standard layout screen.

now I get a question if it would be possible to display the computername on the tilescreen?

I know you can display the thispc icon and rename that, but this is not related to the tilescreen

Hi grundlichkeit,

Do you mean if there is an option to change the "Start" name of the Start Screen to your "computername", right?

The information is stored in twinui.dll.mui file located in C:\Windows\System32\en-US. I am afraid there is not an official option to change it. It is by design.

hi,

not necessarily to change the start name, but just to have a way of displaying it on the tile screen.

now you have to go to the desktop, but if its not possible without unsupported 'hack' I will spread the word.

Hi grundlichkeit,

What does the result you expect to get? If it is possible, please post a screenshot here.

As a work around, we can create the logon account as the computer`s name. The logon account name will be displayed on this screen. I hope this will be helpful.
