computer freeze
Hello, I'm having an issue with my computer freezing up. It runs windows7 and after loading windows, it freezes within seconds. I re-ran windows in safe mode and don't have the same problem, but if i open in safe mode with networking then it still freezes. I went to device manager and updated the network adaptors, but when I got to WAN miniport (ip) windows encountered a problem when installing the driver. I am hoping that this is the problem, but can't be sure yet. The modem etc. are working fine. Is there anyway to fix the problem without re-installing windows all together? Thanks in advance,

Hi, As for this high CPU\system freezing\application hang issue, we generally need to analyze the performance monitor logs and memory dump files to locate the root cause. Unfortunately, debugging is beyond what we can do in the forum because of the nature of forum support. A support call to our product service team is needed for the debugging service. I'd like to recommend that you contact Microsoft Customer Support Service (CSS) for assistance so that this problem can be resolved efficiently. To obtain the phone numbers for specific technology request please take a look at the web site listed below: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;EN-US;PHONENUMBERS If you are outside the US please see http://support.microsoft.com for regional support phone numbers. Having said that, I'd still like to provide the following general troubleshooting steps to see if we can eliminate this problem: 1. Type Device Manager in Start search box. Select Device Manager. 2. Find network adapter, uninstall the driver. 3. Reboot Windows 7 and check the result.
