ive had this problem on and off since chrismas when i got this laptop, its an acer aspire 5517 with a broadcom 801.11g wireless adapter. with some routers i have connection and can get onto the internet and with some i cant, i have no idea whats going on with this thing, i really need help cause im getting no where with this thing, please help

Hi, You need to make sure that the wireless network card driver and the router firmware are up to date. If the issue persists, I would like to suggest you run Network Troubleshooter to diagnostic the issue. Regards,Arthur Li - MSFT
