command set Permssions Windows 7 x64 Registry
Ok I'm trying to set permissions for Users to have full control to this registry space (HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface) but it is failing on the 64bit space. I have tried these things: subinacl.exe /subkeyreg "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT" /grant=users=f (above does what I need in XP but not Winy x64) subinacl.exe /subkeyreg "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Interface" /setowner=Administrators subinacl.exe /subkeyreg "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Interface" /grant=users=f I run these commands as the SYSTEM Account. I have a really old application that the users need full control access to this location and I need to be able to grant this via a command line process. Please help! I only need users to have full control at this point the interface key. Other protected subkey's I'm not concerned with. Just trying to write Users to this key with full control.
