shishkov - Ya know... I seriously doubt that's going to fall on anything but deaf ears. This particular request has been made many times in the past and here we areat the RC, and it's still not coming back. Then again, the Vista style menu isn't all that bad. The integrated search bar rockswhen it comes to narrowing down that long list of stuff to just what you're looking for. For instance, type in "Word" and depending on what you've got installed, that list gets narrowed down to WordPad, MS Word, WordPerfect and a list of documents that are associated with it. Nice. Type in "Spreadsheet" and instantly, Excel and any other spreadsheet app you've got comes into focus along with your spreadsheets. The list goes on. The old style menu structure is a major pain in the neck. I've seen some computers where the owner installed so many items, his primary menu level spanned the entire screen, from top to bottom AND right to left. They likely never removed any of the crapware preinstalled on their system, let alone anything they may have downloaded. This system is infinitely easier. It DOES take a little getting used to though.

bring back the classic start menu PLEASE! some things old are still just better You can emulate the classic menu. This has the advantage that you can have both the old AND the classic menu. See here - German site. If interested I can make a translated version.
