chkdsk cannot access system volume
· · When I request chkdsk /f I get the message it will run on startup. When I start the computer, windows starts and I get the message chkdsk cannot access system volume and it does not run. Shouldn't chkdsk run before windows starts so that it can access the system volume? I also notice that I cannot access safemode. I see the screen but when I select safemode it hangs when it loads drivers. Are these related? 1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi, When Safe Mode is loading and you see the lines of operating system files loading, what file does it hang on?
