check external drive for disk errors
I had a problem with an external 297 gb hard drive. Windows 7 corrected the file system errors. however, I am concerned that the drive may have disk errors. I have repeatedly started the program to scan for bad sectors, but it runs very slowly after the first few files and never seems to finish. 1. Is this normal? How long should it take? 2. I would like to be able to track the process with task manager. How does this process appear in task manager?
