change workgroup to a domain network on windows 7
trying to change my computer windows 7 from workgroup to domain? It will not let me click the domain box in advanced settings All the other computers in my domain is xp is this an issue or is it something else I haven't thought of yet?

What version of Windows 7 is it? If it's Home Premium, Home Basic or Starter you can't join a Domain and the box is grayed out. To join a domain you must be at least running Windows 7 Pro.

It was home version so I changed to pro. It works know, thanks, wander why they do that? Didn't know windows 7 to well so
